As a Wraparound Care Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering high-quality before and after-school care, ensuring that children are safe, engaged, and supported. You will lead a team of staff, drive the implementation of an early childhood education curriculum, and create an enriching experience for every child in your care.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality wraparound care that supports children’s learning, development, and well-being.
  • Implement early childhood education principles, ensuring engaging and age-appropriate activities.
  • Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are followed at all times.
  • Promote healthy eating by managing snack times and adhering to food hygiene standards.
  • Create a fun, inclusive, and nurturing environment that supports social, emotional, and physical development.
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and developmental observations through our booking platforms and management systems.
  • Work closely with parents, caregivers, and school stakeholders, providing regular communication and feedback.
  • Drive continuous improvement, ensuring best practices in early childhood education are implemented.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • DSL Training (Designated Safeguarding Lead) certification.
  • Level 3 Playworker qualification or equivalent in childcare / early years education.
  • Appropriate child protection training with a strong understanding of safeguarding policies.
  • Paediatric First Aid certification.
  • Food Hygiene Level 3 certification.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working with children in a childcare, nursery, or early education setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
  • Ability to develop and implement early years curriculum, supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Passion for providing quality care and a nurturing learning environment for young children.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Ability to use / learn how to use booking management systems on tablets to ensure the smooth transition of information for the team, parents and school stakeholders.
