As a Multi-Sports Development Coach, you’ll be responsible for delivering exciting, engaging, and high-energy sessions across a variety of sports for children aged 5-12. From Spikeball and Basketball to Tennis, Athletics, and more, you’ll create an inclusive environment where every child can learn new skills, stay active, and most importantly – have fun!

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering structured, age-appropriate multi-sports sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and enjoyment, using our scheme of works and coaching framework.
- Coaching a range of sports, ensuring sessions are engaging, safe, and inclusive.
- Encouraging children of all abilities to build confidence, improve coordination, and develop a lifelong love for sport.
- Motivating and inspiring young athletes to stay active and achieve their personal best.
- Communicating with parents, guardians and school staff to provide feedback and progress updates.
- Work with stakeholders to safely manage disruptive behavioural personalities and dis-regulated behaviour patterns.
- Ensuring all sessions adhere to health, safety, and all safeguarding policies.
- Represent the organisation positively and contribute to its growth and reputation in the community.
The Essentials:
- A minimum of 1 years experience coaching children in a variety of sports.
- Relevant coaching qualifications at a minimum of a Level 1 in coaching a sport.
- A fun, enthusiastic, and engaging personality with strong leadership skills.
- Passion for getting children active and making sport enjoyable for all abilities.
- Ability to adapt coaching techniques to suit different sports and age groups in line with our scheme of works and coaching framework.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- First Aid & Safeguarding qualifications.
- Valid Basic DBS certificate.
The Desirables:
- A Level 2 qualification in coaching a sport (or working towards).
- Access to transport to and from places of work.
- Valid Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Previous experience as a Lead Coach within a similar sports setting.
