About Proformance Coaching
Proformance Coaching is a rapidly growing sports coaching organisation based in Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and Bristol. We deliver fun and engaging football sessions to over 400 children each week aged 2-12, and valuable sports provision to over 1,000 children each week across our network of schools.

About the Role
As Wrap Around Care Lead, you will be based at a primary school within our school network in South Bristol, providing high quality after school provision for children in a safe, secure and fun environment.

You will work alongside the Head Coach and the school to deliver and develop the programme, ensuring the delivery of an outstanding service for busy parents and guardians.

Key responsibilities

  • – Ensure reliable timekeeping and confidently handle parent enquiries.
  • – Direct staff to provide an enjoyable and safe environment for all children.
  • – Collaborate effectively with the school and Head Coach to ensure the expectations of delivery are met and maintained.
  • – Maintain high standards in wrap-around care that align with the school’s ethos.
  • – Manage weekly activities, food provision, and communications with parents/guardians and the school.
  • – Conduct regular equipment and ingredient stock takes to maintain health and safety standards.
  • – Responsively handle parent communications where required, via email and/or phone.
  • – Ensure prompt reporting and logging of all first aid incidents on site.
  • – Maintain accurate daily registers on site.
  • – Previous experience in a childcare environment is preferred.

What is the schedule?

  • – Part time, minimum 15 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
  • – Additional paid work is available during half terms and school holiday camps.
  • – Opportunity to secure further hours in line with business growth in 2025.

Essential

  • – Experience working with children in a school or nursery setting.
  • – Understanding of children’s varied needs and family dynamics.
  • – Knowledge of quality play care principles and equal opportunities.
  • – Ability to provide and facilitate safe, creative play.
  • – Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • – Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the organisation, parents, schools, and childcare and play-related agencies.
  • – Confident and outgoing personality.
  • – Professional mindset and attitude.

Desirable

  • – Valid Full UK Driving Licence, with access to a vehicle for transport.
  • – Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • – Paediatric first aid training.
  • – Safeguarding children within education training.
  • – Experience delivering sessions or care to children in schools.
  • – Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate.
